Storm Roof Leak Causing Ceiling Collapse — Harker Heights, TX
Spring hailstorm damaged shingles; 48 hours later, saturated attic insulation collapsed the living room ceiling. Emergency response + full reconstruction.
Project Photos

A Harker Heights homeowner noticed a small ceiling stain after an April hailstorm. Two days later, as she was home alone, the stain became a sagging bulge and then collapsed — dropping 40 gallons of water, insulation, and drywall onto her living room.
We arrived at 3:45 PM, roughly 40 minutes after her call. Emergency tarp crew went to the roof. Interior crew extracted water, protected remaining furniture, and began attic assessment.
Attic investigation: 3 shingles missing from the hail event had allowed water intrusion over 48 hours. Insulation was fully saturated across an 8x12 foot zone. Rafters dried within tolerance. Ceiling drywall was a total loss.
Coordinated with the homeowner's roofer for full roof replacement (separate contract). Our work: emergency tarp, water mitigation, insulation removal and replacement, ceiling drywall rebuild, texture matching, and paint.
Homeowner's State Farm claim covered both the roof and the interior damage. We provided photo documentation supporting the storm-correlated timeline, which sealed coverage without supplement negotiation.
Full restoration. Roof replaced by partner roofer. Living room returned to better-than-pre-loss condition.
State Farm (direct-bill)
Full claim paid. Homeowner out-of-pocket: deductible only.
"When my ceiling fell in, I thought the house was ruined. They had everything dried and rebuilt in two weeks. You can't even see where it happened."
